MCHALE DEMONSTRATIONS COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU

McHale, leading manufacturer of high output balewrappers has teamed up with Mole Valley Farmers and bpi.minster films, manufacturer of Silotite balewrap, to host a series of Demonstration Evenings across the region during April. At each event, the recently launched McHale 991 High Speed balewrapper will be showcased followed by a balewrapping advice clinic.

Farmers and contractors will have the opportunity to see the 991 High Speed wrapper in action. The hugely popular McHale 991 single spool wrapper will also be on show.

The 991 High Speed balewrapper can deliver 50% more output - setting new standards for efficient and effective round bale wrapping. The 991 High Speed wrapper comes with a host of practical and reliable features including a hydraulically operated cut and tie system, an efficient double bale wrap dispenser that maximises film usage and the patented ground supported damper system. Designed with the efficient operator in mind the high output 991 High Speed delivers a tightly wrapped silage bale that retains all the natural silage juices to ensure increased nutritional value.

Mike Walsh, Sales Manager at McHale commented: "Over the last few years contractors have been asking for a higher output balewrapper. This demand has come about due to baler output increasing and also the move towards wrapping bales with six layers instead of four."

"We have tested the 991 High Speed against the 991BE, a machine which is recognised in the market place as having an output of 60 bales per hour. For the test we made sure that oil flow and table rotations were the same. What we found was the 991 High Speed could wrap three bales while the 991BE could wrap two. Therefore it is fair to say that the 991 High Speed has 50% more output in that it can wrap three bales, while a similar single dispenser machine wraps two.

Speaking of the events Keith Ockenden, Head of Agriculture at Mole Valley Farmers said: “Working with a leading machinery and bale wrap manufacturer enable us to keep farmers and contractors abreast of the latest techniques and developments that enhance baled silage production. It also provides visitors with an opportunity to speak to Mole Valley’s skilled branch advisors.”

Each demonstration will start at 6.30 pm on the following dates at the venues noted:

Tuesday 10th April                  Mole Valley Farmers, St. Columb Industrial Est., St. Columb

Wednesday 11th April             Mole Valley Farmers, Honiton Road, Cullompton
