Olympia Tools secures exclusive distribution agreement

Reading, July 1st 2013: Olympia Tools, the distributor of premium quality, competitively priced hand tools, has been appointed as exclusive UK and Republic of Ireland distributors for a major US brand.

With effect from the 1st July 2013, the business will be able to offer merchants, DIY outlets, hardware stores, tool hire companies and other stockists, access to hammers, bars, bear saws and blades from North American based, Vaughan Manufacturing.

Formed almost 150 years ago in Peoria, Illinois by blacksmith, Alexander Vaughan, Vaughan Manufacturing has grown to become one of the world’s most respected producers of striking tools.

In particular, its hammers are acknowledged as class leading and Vaughan’s pioneering approach is attributed with developing many of the elements of modern hammer design.

Today, the company maintains this commitment to technological innovation, combining it with a belief in craftsmanship, attention to detail and in using the finest materials. This includes employing only US-made, high carbon steel - chosen because of its hardness and durability.

To help service anticipated high levels of demand for Vaughan products, Olympia Tools has appointed a dedicated national sales manager who will be supported by the distributor’s existing sales office team.
