Pandas, Penguins and Pudsey Bear
Staff from Visqueen, Europe's leading manufacturer of building films, have raised hundreds of pounds for BBC Children in Need. On Friday 15th November, some of the team based at the business' Heanor site donned fancy dress and took part in a range of fun activities in order to raise funds for the annual appeal.
As well as being sponsored to spend the day dressed as everything from penguins, cats and pandas to pigs, rabbits and cows (not to mention batman, a skeleton and a fencer!), the team of twenty fundraisers also staged quizzes, a raffle and a bake sale. In total, they raised over £150 with the final sum then being matched by the business.
Commenting, Rachael Barton, marketing communications manager at Visqueen said: "BBC Children in Need provides invaluable support to thousands of children's projects across the UK each year and we wanted to do our part to help them in their work. On the day, everyone got really involved either by sponsoring or being sponsored. It was a great way to raise money for such an important charity whilst having a lot of fun at work."
