Visqueen launch Liquid Gas Membrane

In line with its commitment to providing high quality solutions to every structural waterproofing need, Visqueen Building Products has added another new and innovative product to its range.

The leading manufacturer of films for the building industry has recently introduced Visqueen Liquid Gas Membrane – a new solution which offers incredible ease of application especially in complex detailing situations, as well as impressive protection against water and ground gases such as radon, methane and CO2.

Supplied in 20 litre tubs and suitable for vertical and horizontal above and below ground applications, the non-toxic membrane can simply be ‘painted’ on to a primed surface or direct onto green or damp concrete where it then cures to form a 1mm thick, flexible elastomeric sheet.

This ability to form a sheet and to protect against both gases and water makes Visqueen Liquid Gas Membrane different to most other liquid membranes which only inhibit moisture ingress and which rely on the formation of a ‘paint crust’.

Further benefits include excellent adhesion properties and a fast drying time. The new Visqueen Liquid Gas Membrane is also supplied as part of a system which consists of a primer for use on dry concrete as well as a reinforcing tape which can be used to strengthen the membrane where it bridges any cracks.
