Visqueen offers critical information on latest structural and gas protection challenges
To help architects and specifiers stay abreast of the latest structural waterproofing and gas protection challenges, Visqueen Building Products is offering a series of on-going CPD seminars. The one hour seminars, which can take place at the customer’s own premises, provide up-to-the minute, critical information on the latest regulations and best practice techniques relevant to this area of construction.
Nik Ullfors, Technical Support Manager at Visqueen Building Products, explains: “As a market leading provider of structural waterproofing and gas protection solutions, Visqueen enjoys an impressive track record and unrivalled levels of expertise. Our seminars are designed to share some of this knowledge and experience, and reflect our commitment to supporting our customers and the wider building industry.”
Delivered by Visqueen’s nationwide team of technical support managers, the seminars provide key learning across a range of areas pertinent to those involved in both new build and refurbishment projects. This includes information on the latest structural waterproofing and gas protection building regulations and guidance, as well as advice on product/system specification and best practice installation.
Numerous organisations across the UK have already taken advantage of the seminars including The Owen Ellis Partnership – an architectural design practice based in Liverpool.
Will Barralet from Owen Ellis Architects, said: “I’d previosuly attended a Visqueen CPD seminar on structural waterproofing in Manchester and found it to be of great use. It offered some truly valuable information in a compact format and I was keen to share the benefits of this with my colleagues.
“We subsquently asked Visqueen to stage a further seminar on gas protection at our offices. We encounter the need to build on gas contaminated land on a growing basis and the seminar offered an exceptional opportunity for those attending to either increase or refresh their knowledge."
Nik Ullfors from Visqueen adds: “To date, dozens of structural waterproofing and gas protection seminars have been delivered by Visqueen across the country and the feedback we’ve received has been nothing but positive.
“This is a challenging area of construction which can have grave consequences both for a building’s integrity and its occupants’ wellbeing if not handled correctly. The complexity of the issue is further compounded by on-going changes in building regulations and guidance, as well as advances in areas such as product development and installation techniques.
“The Visqueen CPD seminars help to simplify things for the architect or specifier by offering them all the information they need to stay abreast of the latest developments in structural waterproofing and gas protection in a handy, bite sized event.”
