Preem has been named the most sustainable brand in the fuel industry for the third year in a row, according to the Sustainable Brand Index 2020 B2C – Europe’s largest sustainability study, which annually ranks Sweden’s most sustainable brands.

Preem won due to its long-term focus on the research and development of renewable fuels, persistent work with Preem Evolution Diesel and efforts to reduce its overall carbon footprint. The study highlighted these areas as being particularly appreciated by consumers.

“We are very proud that our sustainability work is delivering results. The fact that we have been voted the best in the industry this year also shows that the awareness of our important investments in renewables and sustainability has really hit home,” says Malin Hallin, Sustainability Manager at Preem.

The award means that the public has a high level of confidence in Preem on issues related to environmental and social sustainability.

This is due to long-term efforts to move the brand toward a greater sustainability profile, together with the company’s transition to the increased production of renewable fuels.

“It is gratifying that the Swedish people appreciate our work to produce more renewable fuels and that our long-term and meaningful work with our brand has led to results,” says Ulrica Bååthe, Head of Brand and Market Communication at Preem.
