Ayscough Joins Seaforths To Form New Pan European Agency
AYSCOUGH JOINS SEAFORTHS TO FORM NEW PAN EUROPEAN AGENCY European Travel Holdings, the owners of Advanced Travel Partners (ATP), one of the largest agencies in Holland, and Seaforths specialising in both business and leisure travel, announced today the acquisition of Ayscough Travel. European Travel Holdings, who have held a 30% stake in Ayscough Travel, have been in discussions with Ayscough for several years to expand their shareholding in order to achieve their strategic objectives. Graham Ramsey, Chief Executive of European Travel Holdings explains, 'By adding Ayscough to our portfolio we have created a new force within the UK business travel market. Even more significantly when combined with our ownership of Advanced Travel Partners, a truly pan European travel management presence is possible.' 'The benefits are an increase in buying and negotiating power with the ability to compete for larger accounts. Additionally, increased funds will aid the ongoing development of technology and improvements to our service. For the future, both Ayscough and Seaforths will continue to operate as they did previously'. The managing directors of Seaforths and Ayscough; Jenny Mills and Bob Morgan, will now report directly to Graham Ramsey as chairman of both companies. Don Lunn becomes a non-executive director of Ayscough Travel and is appointed as chairman of European Travel Holdings. Bob Morgan adds 'European Travel Holdings have technology skills and experience which are highly attractive to us and our clients, so as well as being able to compete globally we can now access systems and software to enhance our service.
