BIGGER AND BETTER THAN BEFORE · Makita launches new 13mm angle rotary drill · Extra power and torque for those really tough jobs · Swivel joint lets DA4031 be used in either hand Makita UK have introduced a powerful new two-speed, mains powered, large capacity rotary drill with a 13mm (1/2 inch) chuck ideally suited for electricians or plumbers drilling through 2 x 4 studs or joists. When used with a paddle it can be a comfortable stirring machine for plaster. The new DA4031 powered by a 1050 watt rated motor provides enough torque to drive 38mm in timber. The speed rating of the machine is 300rpm on the low speed setting and 1200 rpm on the high-speed setting, which is selected through the large rotary speed change lever. The DA4031 has a unique safety feature in a torque limiter in low speed operation to reduce dangerous return torque if the drill bit becomes caught in the material being cut. The DA4031 has a host of useful features including an adjustable front fist grip, which has its own allen key for locking in the best position, space for storing the allen key. A additional side handle is supplied which can be easily installed for either left or right-handed operation for extra control. More...The 'soft' feel rear grip rotates through 270 degrees in three positions to provide the flexibility to put the control switch in the ideal position for either left or right handed use, vital to maintain safe control when working in confined spaces. The DA4031 has a net weight of 5.6 kilogram's and is available in 110 and 240 voltage and is double insulated for safety. The DA4031 has a list price of £450 with an end user price around £299 excluding V.A.T. It is supplied in a tough plastic carry case and is available now.
