Energy Efficiency Expo and the Energy Systems Trade Association (ESTA) join forces for October 2002 exhibition 15th April 2002, London - IBE, organisers of the Energy Efficiency (www.energy-expo.org) and Sustainable Energy Expo's (www.sustainable- expo.org), today confirmed that the Energy Systems Trade Association (ESTA) is bringing the London leg of it's autumn regional conferences into the Energy Efficiency Expo. As a result, ESTA members will feature in a special "ESTA zone" area of the exhibition, whilst the association's one-day conference will take place on site. Alan Aldridge, Executive Director, ESTA commented, "Energy efficiency is back on the business agenda because of the cost of the Climate Change Levy and the initiatives in the UK Climate Change Programme. The ESTA conference aims to brief users, specifiers and constructors on how to achieve energy consumption and cost reductions. We are delighted to incorporate our event within Energy Efficiency Expo 2002 as it will attract a wider audience both for the conference and the scope of available technologies and techniques that delegates can investigate. " It is envisaged that around 30-40 ESTA members will take part in the exhibition, joining the 120 other exhibitors that are likely to be involved in the Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Energy Expo's. The organisers have early indications that at least 3500 visitors will attend the exhibitions and the comprehensive conferences that will run alongside the trade shows. Christina English, Exhibition Director added "We are delighted that ESTA are joining us at the event as the synergy is absolutely perfect. We will deliver their members extra visitors, whilst their exhibitors will offer our visitors an exciting range of tools and techniques to help them make more effective use of their energy management systems." ESTA join a number of other relevant trade associations and bodies who are backing the events - including the Renewable Power Association, the Institute of Energy; the Carbon Trust; the Energy Saving Trust; Combined Heat and Power Association; the Major Energy Users Council; the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers; the Association of Electricity Producers and the Association for the Conservation of Energy. Energy Efficiency Expo runs alongside Sustainable Energy Expo on the 22nd-24th October 2002 at Olympia 2 in London, and entry is free. By combining both exhibitions together they are intended to function as a "one-stop shop" for those in the private and public sectors that are looking for methods to minimise energy costs and reduce carbon emissions.
