EX-COCA-COLA MARKETER TAKES MAXXIUM UK MARKETING CONTROLLER ROLE The UK's second largest spirits marketing and distribution company, Maxxium UK has appointed ex-Coca-Cola marketer, Martin Price as marketing controller for its cognac, bourbon, whisky and wine and champagne brands. Price, 36, takes responsibility for a team of six and will work in partnership with Maxxium UK's global brand owners to manage an advertising and promotions budget of £15 million for brands including The Famous Grouse, Rémy Martin and Whyte and Mackay. Reporting to marketing director, Huw Pennell, he also assumes a direct brand management role for Jim Beam bourbon and the Small Batch Bourbon Collection. Price said: "I am excited by the potential for growth in the spirits category as well as for our brands within it and look forward to bringing increased focus onto the consumer, using segmentation and occasionality analysis as part of Maxxium's brand building-led business strategy." Price joins Maxxium UK after four years as consumer marketing manager for Coca-Cola Eastern Europe, based in the Czech Republic.
