LOCAL BUSINESSES LEAD IN BREAKTHROUGH FOR PAIN RELIEF A company specialising in natural pain relief therapy has been acclaimed as visionary by the BT Vision research and awards programme for 2002. It is the third time that Ecoflow has been recognised for it's achievements and a spokesman for the Company has stated that it's distributors operating within the area of this newspaper deserve a share of the award. Ecoflow has developed leading edge magnet technology to position itself at the forefront of natural pain relief. The vision of the Company has extended to allow individuals and small businesses to benefit from its success by way of distribution. Nigel Broderick, a co-founder of the Company was delighted with the award and said " Much of our success is down to our distributors. It is wonderful that so many individuals can benefit from our products as a result of the tremendous enthusiasm shown by our local distributors." Nigel also explained that the distribution system devised by the Company allows many people to share in it's success, and that includes being among the top 100 fastest growing UK companies in two consecutive years. The Bioflow magnets use a unique and patented Central Reverse Polarity module. The modules are generally contained within a wristband, although they are also used in collars and belts. The Company has even made a very large one for an elephant with a back problem. The BT Vision 100 Index examined five areas - visionary leadership, visionary resource management, corporate social responsibility, intellectual asset management and the 'connected' enterprise. Contenders were short listed by a team of business journalists and researchers led by Cranfield School of Management . An advisory panel of opinion leaders and analysts then selected the final 100 that included the Eden Project, easyJet, the John Lewis Partnership and Pinewood Studios. Hugh Merrill, director of Strategic Partnerships at BT Retail and an advisory panel member, said "These visionary organisations have shown clarity of purpose, imagination and the capacity to break boundaries. They have taken original concepts, converted their ideas into reality and now connect with employees, suppliers, partners, and customers in creative new ways".
