For travellers taking advantage of the day trip fare, before 10.30 there are nine Eurostar departures from Waterloo to Paris, three to Brussels and four to Lille, so there is plenty of choice and, by catching one of the earlier Eurostar trains, it is possible to have around 10 hours at your chosen destination. For short break holidaymakers, there is a huge frequency of trains to choose from, with at least 15 trains to Paris and eight to Brussels on a normal weekday, and five extra Paris trains on Fridays throughout the summer. This summer fares bonanza will be supported by a fun advertising campaign that will be launched across London and the South East when the fares go on sale. Devised by Eurostar's advertising agency, TBWA, the campaign suggests ways in which you might give your friends and family nasty surprises, such as a "Dear John" letter or a naughty strippergram, contrasting these with the delightful surprise of a trip to the Continent on Eurostar. Some of the posters will be extremely innovative in that they will employ a "lenticular holographic effect". This means that they change appearance as the viewer gets close to them, adding to the "surprise" element. Commented Eurostar's Marketing Director, Bertrand Guillon: "There really is no excuse not to treat yourself to trip to our fabulous Eurostar destinations this summer. These fares offer superb value for money to explore these exciting cities. Do whatever you want to do - whether it be sightseeing, or shopping, eating and drinking or just chilling out - you'll be guaranteed to have a great time. Visit the www.eurostar.co.uk web site for lots of 'insider' information so while you are minimising on the cost of your travel, you are really maximising on your trip."
