National Virgin Radio listening increases Virgin Radio, the UK's only national commercial rock and contemporary music station has increased its listening time by 15%, bringing in 3% more new listeners to the station. With more listeners listening for longer, the national resurgence follows the introduction of a new schedule including a new breakfast show, a new drive-time show and a new daytime music formula: · Daryl Denham's Breakfast Show: 8% increase in listeners nationally · Sony Award Winning Pete & Geoff Drive-time Show: 15% increase in total listeners · No Repeat 9-5 Workday: 11% increase in daytime listening Paul Jackson Programme Director said: "This is a great result for Virgin Radio and an early endorsement of all the changes we've made over the last four months. This gives us a stable base on which to build listenership across the summer.
