Nordoff robbins races to success with o2
NORDOFF ROBBINS RACES TO SUCCESS WITH O2 LONDON, 15th May 2002, O2 today announces its title sponsorship of the Brighton Raceday on Friday 24th May 2002 in aid of Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy. The Brighton Raceday is one of many high profile fundraising events that Nordoff Robbins is proud to hold with support from O2. Laurence Alexander, CEO of O2's online business in the UK comments: "O2 are very proud to be involved with Nordoff-Robbins, and particularly on this occasion with the sponsorship of the Brighton Raceday. Make a difference to people's lives Nordoff-Robbins uses music therapy to encourage personal growth, development, and an improved quality of life for children, adolescents and adults suffering from a range of mental illness and emotional stress. Nordoff Robbins together with City University also offers a two- year Masters of Music therapy Degree Course and funds leading research into music therapy. Genie is keen to encourage other companies in the entertainment industry to support this charity that offers such a diverse range of services through music. Patrons of the charity include Sting, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, George Michael and Sir Elton John. The Brighton Raceday will be held on Friday 24th May at Brighton racecourse, an established venue with good corporate facilities and spectacular views of the South Downs coast.
