Norwood Systems demonstrates the versatility of EnterpriseMobility(TM) at Bluetooth Congress 2002 Demonstrations to include wireless voice, industry specific data applications and the latest deployment toolkit for wireless networks Norwood Systems, Bluetooth Congress Stand No: 405 Richmond-upon-Thames, UK and Amsterdam, The Netherlands - 12th June 2002 - At this year's Bluetooth Congress, Norwood Systems is demonstrating several applications running over its wireless communications platform, EnterpriseMobility, including both voice and data communications. EnterpriseMobility, which is commercially launched this week, is the most advanced platform that provides seamless wireless connectivity to employees within the workplace. Norwood Systems is demonstrating three solutions on its stand during Bluetooth Congress. The first demonstration showcases the comprehensive voice capabilities of EnterpriseMobility. Visitors to the stand are able to make and receive calls wirelessly over the EnterpriseMobility network using either a headset with a Bluetooth enabled Palm 505 as the dialling interface, a headset activated by a voice recognition server or an Ericsson Bluetooth CTP (Cordless Telephony Profile) enabled mobile phone. EnterpriseMobility provides all the key functions expected of a telephony system including call on hold, call transfer, calling line ID and call forward. The second demonstration features InstantCoverage(TM), the management toolkit embedded within EnterpriseMobility. This demonstration shows how easy it is to manage the deployment of EnterpriseMobility and to ensure ongoing optimum network coverage and capacity. The InstantCoverage demonstration incorporates a floor plan of the Congress and indicates the location of all Bluetooth Etherblue base stations running at the show as well as a graphical view of the network coverage. The third demonstration highlights EnterpriseMobility's data capabilities, including applications from Norwood System's Solution Partners. It illustrates the ease of wirelessly accessing the internet while mobile, using an IPAQ 3870 over an existing corporate connection, as well as synchronising with Microsoft Outlook(TM) using Pumatech's Intellisync(TM). An additional feature will show EnterpriseMobility integrated with Air2Web's Mobile Internet Platform, allowing healthcare professionals to call up patient records from their PDA with a secure connection wherever they may be within a hospital environment. Paul Østergaard, Chairman and CEO of Norwood Systems, comments, "EnterpriseMobility is the most advanced Bluetooth communications platform commercially available today. Our demonstrations show the depth of our voice and data offerings and the wide range of functionality that EnterpriseMobility offers. For further information, please visit us at stand number 405." - ENDS - NOTES TO EDITORS About Norwood Systems Norwood Systems was founded in January 2000 to become the market leader in system connectivity software for short-range wireless based office networks for voice and data.
