PAULA RADCLIFFE BREAKS ANOTHER CHICAGO RECORD The Chicago/Illinois Tourist Office's brochure line receives a record- breaking number of calls after Paula's marathon victory! After Paula Radcliffe's phenomenal record-breaking victory at last weekend's Chicago marathon, the brochure request telephone number at the Chicago Tourist Office hasn't stopped ringing. It seems that after Paula gave all TV viewers a running tour of the city with its tall skyscrapers, green parks, blue lakefront and golden beaches, Chicago has become a hot destination. Since the marathon, the Chicago Tourist Office has been inundated with people calling and wanting to find out more about the city - representing a 245% increase in volume over the typical number of enquiries for this time of the year. Gail Orr, International Marketing Manager of the Chicago/Illinois Tourist Office, says, "We are thrilled that Paula broke a record at the Chicago marathon this year - what a great achievement! And she did such a good job of showcasing Chicago that she has also helped break our record for the number of inquiries. "We hope she comes back again next year, if not before!"
