The XVII Commonwealth Games The UK is Ready The 17th Commonwealth Games starts next week and the city of Manchester is ready to welcome over 5000 athletes from 72 nations. BIGGEST EVER... The XVII Commonwealth Games in Manchester will be the biggest ever Commonwealth Games and the biggest multi-sporting event to be hosted in the UK since the Olympics in 1948. FIRST EVER FULLY INCLUSIVE... It's the first ever fully inclusive Games in history, with elite athletes with a disability competing alongside their non-disabled counterparts. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE... 14 individual sports, 3 team sports, 1500 medals and an expected global viewing audience in excess of 1 billion! 1st CLASS TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT...
