Waymaker Launches FirstSight - the new Regulatory Information Service The launch of Waymaker's Regulatory News Information Service - FirstSight, on Monday 29th April marks the beginning of an exciting period in the evolution of financial news dissemination, as the London Stock Exchange's monopoly of regulatory news distribution in the UK market comes to an end. Whilst FirstSight is new to the UK market, Waymaker has been a European Primary Information Provider in Europe for over a decade and has distributed clients' press releases in the UK for over 15 years. Incorporated into Waymaker's Publish service, the web based service offers companies an automated publishing system for distributing company announcements to the appointed SIPs (Secondary Information Providers) the media, financial contacts, analysts and other contacts in the investment community. The launch of FirstSight combined with Waymaker's experience and knowledge of the IR market will provide companies with a secure foundation to effectively implement their IR strategies. Tony Workman, IR Business Development Manager at Waymaker comments " The stringent criteria set by the FSA will ensure that the UK market continues to benefit from the highest standards and the systems in place for FirstSight will result in secure and effective dissemination for companies. FirstSight has been very well received, with a number of companies signing up to use the service. We are delighted to provide a solution that will assist IR professionals, not only by publishing information but by offering a cost effective and reliable service."
