Winners From April's UK's Indian Dance Form Contest Announced

WINNERS FROM APRIL'S UK'S INDIAN DANCE FORM CONTEST ANNOUNCED Hundreds of dance students from all over London flocked to Acton Town Hall to fight it out in front of a packed auditorium to be one of the six winning groups in Indian Dance who would then consequently to go through to the UK Dance Championships this September. The students from Honey's Dance Academy gave an extremely professional show. A variety of high profile judges studied the performance of Indian dance forms: Bollywood, Bhangra, and Classical. Judges included Jeremy Wooding (Director of Bollywood Queen), Mr Sira (Director of London Academy of Acting), Ansall Chezan (Chief Dance Examiner of United Kingdom Alliance) and Rdha Binod Sharma (Artist) Dancers came from all over London, with categories for four different age ranges: 4-7, 8-12, 13-15 & 16-adults. Winners are as follows: MID 4-7 YEARS 1ST - Chanak Ti Churiyan - Radhika Keshav, Priya Agarwal, Shainey Parmar, Karishma Patel & Bhavani - performed to Chamak Ti Shaan Hai 2ND - Muskan - Krupa Patel, Dhwani Vekaria + 1 - peformed to Taal Se Taal. 3RD - Red Smash - Names not available - Performed to Ishq Mere Mehboob. Bhangra/other 1st - Vibes - Sejal Sedani - do not promote as she works at the office - does not attend classes. 2nd - TLC - - performed to Sah Ruk Dha 3rd - Hectic - Poovi Shah & Devi Acharya - performed to AM to PM MID 8-12 1ST - Dancing Divas - Hiral Patel, Krupa Amin & Hemali Metha - Performed to Pero Mein Bandon Mein. 2ND - Gopiyaan - Meera Patel + 3 - peformed to Maiyya Yashoda 3RD - Charming Champions - Tejal & Nehal Doshi - You are my Soniya SOLO SECTION 1ST - Krupa Amin - Dil to Pagal Hai 2ND - Sunny Patel - Aap mujhe ache Lagane Laage 3RD - Jasmine (Main Payal Hai Chankaye) & Kunal Walia (Ek Pal Ka Jeena) MID - 13-15 1st - Dancing Queens - Krina Patel, Chandni Makwana, Priya Patel, Avani Patel - pero Mein Bandon Mein 2nd - Two Nice - Alisha Arora & Monali Tailor - Yaara Mere Yaara 3rd - Asian Remix - Henna Rather, Thulani Abeysekara, Sanjutha Yoganathan & Amisha Mehta - Chaiya Chaiya Workshop 1st - Harrow 2nd -Ilford 3rd - Finchley MID 16 AND OVER 1ST - Sparkling Sahelli's - Alka Bhudia, Deepa Gundecha, Nimisha Mehta & Vanesha Bungally - Yeh Ladka Hai Allah 2nd - Temptation - performed to Bhumro Remix 3rd - Asian sensations - peformed to Anjana Milta Hai The winners received certificates that will enable them to go through to the UK's only Dance Championships that will be held in Wembley in September. The UK Dance Championships feature disco, jazz, street dance, Bhangra, Bollywood and Classical Indian dancing. Thousands of dancers from all over the country attend. Honey's Dance Academy is renowned for its professional dance training. New Bollywood, Bhangra and Classical Indian dance classes will begin throughout London this week. People with no experience are welcome and beginners are even invited to take advantage of one free dance class at their local centre.
