Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida was selected as one of three local charities by CarMax, Inc. to participate in their “Road Rally for Charity” fundraiser. As part CarMax’s grand opening in Naples, the company will donate $5,000 to three local nonprofits who are “competing” for votes including Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida, Boys & Girls Club of Collier County, and the American Heart Association, Southwest Florida Division.

The “Road Rally for Charity” contest, which launched today on the CarMax Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CarMax, encourages supporters of the selected charities to cast their vote. Each charity will receive a donation of $1,000 just for participating. The charity that receives the most votes will receive an additional $2,000 donation. Voting ends on September 18. The winning charity will be announced on the CarMax Facebook page as well as the Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida Facebook page.

“This is an easy way for local supporters of Junior Achievement to help us raise funds to promote our mission of teaching financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship,” said Anne Frazier, President/CEO of Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida.
