Owen-Ames-Kimball Company continues 30th Anniversary celebration with donation to Harry Chapin Food Bank
Owen-Ames-Kimball Company (O-A-K) continues its year-long 30thAnniversary celebration by holding an employee food drive to benefit the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida.
O-A-K has chosen to celebrate its diamond anniversary by giving back to the Southwest Florida community to which it owes three decades of local success. Through the month of June, O-A-K collected food donations from its employees for the local food bank. The food collected was dropped off to the food bank at the end of June by a group of employees. The goal of the drive was 30 bags of food. The employees well exceeded their 30-bag goal by donating 47 large bags of food. Al Brislan, president and CEO of Harry Chapin food bank, and Joanna Bradshaw, president of its board of directors, were on hand to accept the donation and to give the O-A-K group a tour of the main warehouse in Fort Myers.
“Thank you very much for your food donation,” Brislain commented to the O-A-K group. “We appreciate all you do to make SW Florida a great place to live.”
O-A-K will be celebrating its anniversary all year long with various gifts to community organizations. More information on the celebratory events will be posted to O-A-K’s website and social media sites.“We feel that the best way to celebrate our anniversary is by giving back to the community and helping those in need,” said Dave Dale, O-A-K company president, of the 30 year milestone.
