Owen-Ames-Kimball’s Steven G. Richards named president of the Lee Building Industry Association

Owen-Ames-Kimball Company (O-A-K) announces that vice president Steven G. Richards has been elected president of the Lee Building Industry Association (Lee BIA) for the year 2013. The Lee BIA is comprised of more than 300 area builders, contractors, designers and industry businesses. Previously, Richards served as first vice president and on its board of directors.

Richards has been with O-A-K since 1993, working first as a project manager then as a full-time estimator. He was promoted to vice president and to serving on the O-A-K board of directors in 2004. He also serves his community as a United Way campaign coordinator and on its Allocations Committee as well as for the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce on its Education Grants Committee.

Richards holds an Associate of Arts degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Technology from Purdue University.
