Pavese Law Firm associate Brooke Martinez discusses status of women in legal profession at Ave Maria School of Law

Attorney Brooke Martinez with Pavese Law Firm participated in a panel discussion on behalf of the Lee County Association for Women Lawyers on Feb. 6 at Ave Maria School of Law. The event is part of the School of Law’s Women’s Law Association speaker series to address topics affecting women in the legal profession including salary, paying off student loan debt, work-life balance, transitioning between law school and the “working world,” interview tips, and challenges and/or stereotypes for women in the workforce.

Martinez, an associate in the Civil Litigation division, joined the Pavese Law Firm in May 2005. Her legal practice areas include general civil litigation with a focus on commercial litigation, real estate law, family law, community association law and bankruptcy creditor representation.

Martinez is a member of the American Bar Association, Lee County Bar Association and President of the Lee County Association of Women Lawyers.

She is also a member of the Junior League of Fort Myers and co-chairs the organization’s public affairs committee.
