Pavese Law Firm partner Christina Harris Schwinn presents Nov. 8 on workers’ compensation insurance coverage requirements under Florida law
Pavese Law Firm partner Christina Harris Schwinn will speak to the National Association of Women Business Owners of Southwest Florida (NAWBO) on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Club at Grandezza clubhouse, located at 11481 Grand Oak Blvd. in Estero, Florida on what small business owners need to know about workers’ compensation insurance coverage and the requirements under Florida Law. Schwinn will address the legal requirements for obtaining and maintaining workers’ compensation insurance, exemption and stop work orders.
Attendees will also hear from Starlene Sandifer with Allstate Insurance Company on procurement and pricing for workers’ compensation insurance coverage in Florida. In addition, Shelly Osterhout, president of Computer Solutions of America and president of NAWBO, will share her personal experience when her business was recently issued a stop work order that closed her business operations for a week.
