Pavese Law Firm partner Christina Harris Schwinn to serve as mentor at Girls Going Places Entrepreneurship Conference on May 1
Pavese Law Firm partner Christina Harris Schwinn will serve as a conference mentor at the Girls Going Places Entrepreneurship Conference on May 1 at Florida Gulf Coast University. During the event, students will meet with prominent women business owners and professionals who will serve as their mentors for the day. Schwinn and other women business professionals will lead students through a series of interactive activities and discussions centered on starting or running a business, as well as challenges and successes of owning a business or working in the business world.
“Young girls can benefit greatly from the experience and resources that professional women in our community have to share,” said Schwinn. “As a mentor, not only can I share my experience as a woman in the field of law, but I hope to empower the attendees with strategies on how they can be successful in whatever they choose to do.”
The Girls Going Places Program was created and piloted in Southwest Florida in 1999 to educate young women about the financial and entrepreneurial opportunities available to them. Girls Going Places Entrepreneurship Conferences are designed to encourage financial literacy and educate teen girls about starting a business.
Schwinn’s primary practice areas are employment law, business transactions, community association law and real estate law. Schwinn, who joined Pavese Law Firm in 2005, is an accomplished public speaker and regularly writes articles that have been published both locally and nationally in a variety of publications.
