Wells Fargo has awarded Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida a grant in the amount of $13,000 to sponsor four Title 1 schools in Lee and Collier counties. The grant will assist in funding the implementation and set up of 24 Junior Achievement programs that will involve approximately 864 students enrolled at Parkside Elementary, Edgewood Elementary, Fort Myers Middle and Cypress Palm Middle schools during the 2012-2013 school year. In addition, funds will also help sponsor the 2013 CEO Academy – a one week business summer camp for rising high school juniors and seniors held in partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University. The camp is designed to help prepare young aspiring entrepreneurs to be the outstanding business leaders and CEOs of tomorrow.

“Wells Fargo has a long history of supporting the mission and programs of Junior Achievement,” said Laura Worzella, Area President for Wells Fargo. “So we are proud to award this grant which aligns with our focus of supporting both education and entrepreneurship.”

“We appreciate Wells Fargo’s investment in our programs and employee support as volunteers. Their employees deliver relevant and hands-on experiences that give students the knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship,” said Anne Frazier, President/CEO of Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida.
