Chicago, IL, August 26, 2011 – Kevin McFall has been named Chief Executive Officer of AMightyRiver.com (AMR), one of the largest Black professional online networks in the United States. AMR is a division of Professional Diversity Network (PDN), a leading destination for diverse professionals, including iHispano.com for Hispanic professionals and the Womenscareerchannel.com.

The mission of AMightyRiver.com is helping talented professionals to hone and utilize professional online networking skills -- all too often overlooked -- rather than social networking, and to provide access to employees that value a diverse workforce. McFall will be driving a number of growing initiatives, in education, consumer advertising and product development.

“I am thrilled by the prospect of enhancing the product suite and expanding educational initiatives for our members with various partner programs in the works and with our extensive menu of career tools and resources. Given recent census findings, I am especially looking forward to building AMR’s consumer advertising business at a time when brand marketers recognize the power of the multi-cultural market and are fueling an uptick in dollars spent to expand this important customer base.

Before joining AMightyRiver.com, McFall served as Vice President, Global Business Development and Product Strategy at Cision, from December 2009-June 2011. He was co-founder and vice president of products and business development for RushmoreDrive.com, a social and vertical search business of IAC Corporation from 2007-2009. Prior to joining IAC, he directed the digital product and affiliate network programs for Zap2it.com, an entertainment news and information Web site that is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Tribune Company.

His passion for new media and technology began in 1995, when he joined the American Bar Association’s IT department, re-designing and streamlining their systems, then moving on to a managerial role. McFall was soon promoted to e-business manager after implementing a transformative Web-based media strategy.

McFall has never been too busy to engage in community mentoring programs or to serve on the boards of organizations that foster education, including the University of Illinois at Urbana’s Campus Alumni Advisory Board or those that focus on building diverse technology leaders, such as i.c. Stars – Inner City Computer Stars Foundation.

He is an avid cyclist and skier and lives in Chicago with his wife Karin and daughter Nia. He hopes that as the makeup of America continues to evolve, more business leaders will recognize how profoundly a diverse workforce will impact their ability to innovate and thrive.

About Professional Diversity Network (PDN)

Professional Diversity Network (PDN) attributes its consistent double-digit growth to the fact that its ultra-targeted channels offer a level of professional networking that is hard to match on “one size fits all” websites. Its niche community is committed to economic empowerment and its affinity of culture makes it easy to fulfill a credo of “Each one Reach One.”

In addition to listing more than 100,000 jobs with top companies that value diversity, PDN offers completely free of charge, a wide array of career resources, including resume critiques, seasoned mentors, personal brand makeovers and more. In recent months PDN has been hiring additional staff to meet the demand for these requests. During member review sessions, an emphasis is placed on how to utilize key words in a resume and the best websites for posting. Kirsch says they will keep hiring in order to ensure a five day turn-around on requests.
