Proha to offer new service for electronic handling of purchase invoices

PROHA TO OFFER NEW SERVICE FOR ELECTRONIC HANDLING OF PURCHASE INVOICES Proha Plc's subsidiary, Accountor Oy, operating in the Financial Management business area, signed a significant agreement with Posten Sverige AB (Publ.) (Swedish Post) on offering BREVe - an electronic system for handling purchase invoices - to Accountor's customers with exclusive rights in Finland. According to the agreement, Proha would transmit over a million purchase invoices as BREVe service during the first year. Proha Plc has also made an letter of intent on offering BREVe service outside Finland. "The new service will revolutionize the handling of purchase invoices. Businesses of all sizes can now utilize paperless handling of purchase invoices even when it comes to invoices that are send on paper" says Pekka Pere, CEO of Proha Plc. The BREVe service agreement allows Accountor's c corporate customers to automate and outsource the handling of incoming invoices as well as to save handling costs and time. This agreement significantly speeds up the adoption of electronic financial management. The service does not require any extra investments from the corporate customers. BREVe is an outsourcing service for electronic postal assorting offered by the Swedish Post. Post opens and registers the incoming postal items, converts the information into electronic form, and delivers it to the electronic system of the corporate customer. Swedish Post in a nutshell Swedish Post is one if the biggest companies in Sweden and had a turnover of nearly SEK 24 billion in 1999. The number of employees was 42,000. Beside the traditional postal services, the company has developed electronic services such as postal assorting as an outsourced service.
