ESENCIA ESTATE TO HOST “THE ESENCIA EXPERIENCE FOR UPSCALE WEDDING PLANNERS” TO RE-INTRODUCE THE ESTATE AS A PREMIER WEDDING VENUE

Playa Xpu-Ha, Mexico (August 17, 2011) Once the private seaside-retreat of an Italian duchess, Esencia Estate in the Riviera Maya is a lovely tropical wedding venue away from the hustle and bustle of the Riviera Maya. While many people choose to have their special day abroad, selecting a location and planning a destination wedding can be overwhelming without local expertise. Therefore an important factor in having a successful destination wedding is hiring a wedding planner who is familiar with the destination and local vendors. Couples rely on local wedding planners for insight into the best venues, catering companies, and florists in the area for their wedding.

As a means to re-introduce Esencia Estate as a premier wedding venue to local and international wedding planners, Esencia is hosting “The Esencia Experience for Upscale Wedding Planners.” This intimate event will be held August 31, 2011 and the idea is to simulate a mini wedding to help planners envision potential wedding set-ups at Esencia. Local vendors, including Euforia, Event Style, AVSolutions, and Mariachi Los Dorados, will showcase a number of different ceremony settings, floral arrangements, hoopla and aisle décor, and entertainment options. In addition, Chef Bernardo, head chef at Esencia, will be whipping up miniature tastings, ranging from ceviche to dessert to specialty cocktails, for guests.

“Esencia is a practical, romantic, and intimate venue for weddings,” affirms Brenda Espinosa, assistant to the General Manager, wedding planner & event host. “And we feel that the wedding planner event will reestablish Esencia as one of the top wedding venues in the Riviera Maya for wedding planners.”

With the choice of having the ceremony on the white-sand beach, in the lush gardens, or in the grand, palm-lined, tile entry of the main house, Esencia Estate is a versatile and accommodating wedding venue. The 29-room Estate is also available for a buy-out, so couples can celebrate with their closest friends and family in an intimate and personal setting. Still a rare hidden gem in the Riviera Maya, Esencia may just be the perfect seaside-wedding site for you.

Sal y Fuego

The dinner menu specializes in Meso-American cuisine, using traditional Yucatán methods such as banana-wrapped fish and meat cooked in a pib (an earth oven).  The menu showcases the freshest local seafood as well as dishes from the rest of Mexico, all flavored with organic herbs and fresh fruits and vegetables. The ambience combines Mexican flair and rustic simplicity with its palapa roof and view of a cenote, an illuminated underground fresh water pool.

Aroma Spa

Fully organic from its architecture to its products, the Duchess’s oasis harvests its own lush herb garden for use in treatments.  Five treatment rooms, four Jacuzzis, two Mayan-style domed steam rooms and a beachside Temazcal Mayan Sauna are also available. Complimentary group yoga and meditation classes are offered with an instructor on the main house terrace or in the garden area.
