Pronto Insurance Partners with U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots

Pronto offices to support collection and distribution of toys during Christmas

Brownsville, Texas - December 2011. Pronto Insurance announced they are partnering this Christmas season with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots program as a Community Partner Sponsor. Pronto Insurance is participating in the program via the following communities in which the Marine Corps offices are aligned that include; the Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi, Houston, San Antonio, Austin and El Paso. All monies and toys collected remain in each community.

Pronto Insurance has been involved with various community programs over the years and this year chose to partner with the U. S. Marine Corps Reserves and their Toys for Tots program because of the great work the U.S. Marines do for thousands of children.  “At Pronto Insurance we believe in giving back to the communities we serve and live in, and by partnering with the U.S. Marines and their Toys for Tots program, we saw this as a great way to make Christmas better for many children.” Said Tony Limon, Vice President of Marketing for Pronto Insurance. “Our stores are aligned in key markets where the Marine Corps have their program and where we offer our services.  It was a great fit so that we could serve as collection and distribution centers to support the Marines Corps and be available to anyone wanting to drop off a new toy.”

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during Christmas and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goals of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, patriotic citizens and community leaders. In addition, the objectives of Toys for Tots are to help needy children throughout the United States to experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause during each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

More About Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots activities take place each year where Marine Corps Reserves Units are located.  The Toys for Tots Program is under the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c) (3) non-profit public charity that is the fund raising, funding and support organization and has supported Toys for Tots since 1991.  The Foundation is governed by a board of eleven directors, all who are successful business leaders from throughout the nation and who have all served as U.S. Marines.  The Foundation is headquartered in Quantico, VA., at the Marine Corps Association building.
