Allison welcomes Gary Vasey as UK Market Development Manager

Millbrook, UK – Allison Transmission has appointed Gary Vasey to the position of UK Market Development Manager for trucks. He is responsible for the support and development of Allison’s business with fleet operators and the UK operations of truck OEMs and engine manufacturers. Gary is based at the company’s UK office at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire.

Gary Vasey joins Allison from Scania’s Truckeast division where he was Territory Sales Manager within the new chassis sales department. Prior to that, he worked for Mitchell Powersystems – Allison’s approved distributor for UK and Ireland – as Aftersales Development Manager for Allison Transmission and Detroit Diesel products in Southern England.

“Gary comes to Allison with plenty of relevant experience, having worked with our products on both the OEM and distributor side,” says Riccardo Sardelli, Allison’s UK Area Manager. “He will be working very closely with truck fleets, advising them how an Allison fully automatic transmission can optimise the performance and productivity of their trucks.”
