Formula 1 driver Pastor Maldonado officially opens the Advanced Vehicle Science Centre and the Bhai Tech simulator suite.

Around 250 guests from the motorsport and automotive industry celebrate the grand opening of the new Bhai Tech technical facility in Padova, Italy.

Padova, Italy – Pastor Maldonado, Formula 1 race driver and winner of the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix with the Williams F1 team – along with Mr Marco Pedron, the Mayor of Mestrino and Ferdinando Bada, president of Bhai Tech – officially opened the new Bhai Tech Advanced Vehicle Science Centre, in northern Italy, last weekend.

The centre will drive advancements in vehicle and racing driver development via its state-of-the-art full motion driver simulator, proven range of ‘BhT’ simulation and modelling software, driver development programmes (including an onsite fitness suite) and a wide range of on and off-track technology services. The company’s on–track arm, Bhai Tech Racing, will also compete in selected rounds of the 2012 Italian GT Championship with a new McLaren MP4-12C.

Bhai Tech welcomed customers, suppliers, industry officials, local dignitaries and the media to an official ribbon-cutting ceremony of the 2,800 m2(over three floors), purpose-built facility as well as its simulator suite, whereupon the new Bhai Tech 6-DOF driving simulator conducted its inaugural lap of a race track. The leadership team comprising president, Ferdinando Bada; board member, Giancarlo Bada; managing director, Keith Parmar; technical director, Roberto Costa; head of vehicle dynamics, Giuseppe Callea and head of engineering, Stefano Alessi hosted the event, conveying Bhai Tech’s objectives to serve car manufacturers, drivers, engineers and race teams with technologies and strategies that respond to the changing shape of motorsport and vehicle development.
