From heating and climate technology to motor cycle racing: Viessmann backs ‘Moto2’ championship leader Stefan Bradl
Heating systems manufacturer behind the “Motorcycle Vettel” for success on and off the race track
Viessmann is showing the motorcycle racing world the winning side of heating systems this year. As part of its international youth sponsorship programme, the leading global manufacturer of heating systems is backing German hotshot Stefan Bradl (21) – dubbed the “Motorcycle Vettel” – for the second year running. At the half-way point in the season he currently tops the Moto2 (part of the MotoGP racing package) World Standing by more than 50 points – a third more than his closest rival.
“Viessmann has a long history of supporting sporting endeavours. The match between top performance and a confident, ambitious brand such as ours is clear,” says Peter Frost, Managing Director of Viessmann Limited. “While Stefan Bradl is taking the motorcycle racing world by storm in his innovative German-built Kalex race bike, so Viessmann is reaching new audiences around the world with their successful German-engineered products. With or without the striking Viessmann head-to-toe bright orange livery we are hard to miss.”
Bradl, riding for the Viessmann Kiefer Racing team, has won four out of eight races and claimed two other podium finishes so far this year. The Moto2 class is for 600 cc race bikes which produce around 140bhp, with a prototype chassis, the design and construction of which is free from the constraints of the FIM Grand Prix Technical Regulations. The championship visits circuits in Europe, the Middle East, USA, Asia and Australia. The next round is the German Motorcycle Grand Prix on July 15th.
