MILLBROOK, UK – Allison Transmission has appointed Jim Coleman as Area Manager, UK and Ireland. Coleman has worked for Allison for more than 30 years and was previously Commercial Director for Russia CIS and Caribbean – Central American Operations. In his new role, Coleman will coordinate marketing, sales and service activities for Allison in the UK and Ireland, as well as the Russia CIS region.  He is based at Allison’s UK office at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire.

Jim Coleman will lead the experienced teams in both regions to further develop Allison’s brand image and promote current and new products with OEMs and with end-users in core commercial vehicle segments. Coleman is from the USA and is relocating to the UK. He replaces Riccardo Sardelli who has left the company to pursue other business interests.

“I hope to use my past experience in North America, Latin America and Asia to work with regional OEMs on new vehicle applications for both domestic and international export opportunities, and to identify new end-users and new vocational applications where Allison products can enhance vehicle performance and total life-cycle cost.  I’m looking forward to learning the unique aspects of the UK market and working with the highly experienced Allison team here,” says Jim Coleman.
