This year, for the first time, Viessmann will be attending Homes 2013 at London’s ExCel on 20th & 21st November as the company steps-up its commitment to the local authority and housing association sector.
Attending the show, Viessmann’s specification team will be showcasing a range of products suitable for use in local authority and housing association properties. The Vitodens 100-W P range of gas-fired combination boilers can be installed in a greater number of locations around the home due to a maximum flue length of 17 metres (29 kW model), making them ideally suited for social housing projects and homes where available space is at a premium. Installation of the Vitodens 100-W P range is faster, simpler and more cost-effective and service accessibility is also improved. This unit is one of the quietest gas-fired wall hung boilers available in this product group.
The Vitodens 111-W will also be on display and is the ideal gas-fired boiler for compact installations thanks to its substantial flow rate and small DHW store. A storage combination boiler, the Vitodens 111-W has a high flow rate making it an ideal solution for homes with high hot water demand or multiple bathrooms. By using Viessmann’s Cylinder Loading System (CLS) the Vitodens 111-W boiler can provide 200 litres of hot water (at a temperature rise of 35 ºC) in 10 minutes, using a primary store of only 46 litres capacity. As the hot water is drawn from the top of the cylinder, a constant volume of hot water is maintained. The substantial flow rate means the Vitodens 111-W can draw off hot water from more than one outlet at a time without any noticeable impact, and more than meets the minimum flow rate requirement for social housing.
In addition to traditional domestic combination boilers, Viessmann will also be showcasing its renewable technologies with the Vitocal 200-S split air/water heat pump (3 kW to 10.6 kW) which uses the free energy of the ambient air. With a maximum flow temperature of 55 ̊C even at -15 ̊C, the Vitocal 200-S is ideal for new buildings and renovations and can be used with existing gas boilers for bivalent systems.
Visitors to the show will also be able to see the Vitovolt 200 Solar PV system which is fully accredited to benefit from the UK government’s Feed-In-Tariff scheme giving users access to environmentally friendly renewable energy with real payback. The Vitovolt 200 photovoltaic panels are available with high efficiency monocrystalline and polycrystalline silicon cells. The high quality Vitovolt 200 solar PV system can also be integrated with the Vitocal 200-S range of products, so that the heat pumps monitor solar gain and utilise more of the free solar energy. In this way exported solar electricity can be reduced from around 70% to 40%, decreasing running costs by a further £100.
