Viessmann, a leading international manufacturer of heating systems, will return to Greenbuild EXPO 2012 (May 9th/10th; Manchester Central; stand E24) to promote its extensive renewable heating technologies, including the recently MCS-certified Vitocal 200-S split air source heat pump.

“Having proved very popular in other markets, and a perfect solution to help British developers achieve Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, we are excited to launch the split-design Vitocal 200-S in the UK with MCS-certification,” says Colin Bland, renewables sales manager for Viessmann.

“In contrast to air source heat pumps with control systems designed by traditional cooling or air conditioning companies, the Vitocal 200-S’s system is built on Viessmann’s Vitotronic 200 platform; making it the only control system for an air source heat pump to be designed by a heating/boiler manufacturer.

“This unique point of difference means the pump can be easily integrated with other Viessmann technologies to work as part of a system, such as in retrofit installations alongside gas boilers, as part of a hybrid system or even with solar thermal. In hybrid cases the boiler operates at 98 per cent seasonal efficiency, with the heat pump working when it is efficient to do so.

Four other products from Viessmann’s comprehensive range of quality products for domestic, commercial and renewable applications will be on display, including the Vitoligno 300-P pellet boiler and Vitosol 200-T solar thermal tube display. In addition, the company will show two products from Viessmann’s high efficiency Vitodens range: the 200-W Commercial gas-fired condensing boiler, and the 100-W P25/P29 combi boiler. Staff will be on hand to answer questions on any of the company’s many product ranges and the various tariffs available.
