Viessmann introduces new Vitodens 200-W Cascade
New cascade is one third smaller and can be installed in half the time
Telford, UK - Viessmann has released a new, flexible Vitodens 200-W boiler cascade system for commercial applications with outputs ranging from 12 to 594 kW. This requires 30 per cent less space than the previous cascade system and reduces installation times by up to 50 per cent.
The compact dimensions of the new 200-W Cascade make it ideally suited to plant rooms that have a small floor area, limited headroom, or are difficult to access. The height required for installation is reduced from 2.2 metres to 1.8 metres and the width required is reduced, e.g. for three boilers in series from 2.7 metres to 2.3 metres.
The new cascade frame allows anything from two to six Vitodens 200-W boilers to be cascaded, wall-mounted or free-standing, and has three adjustable height settings to suit differing plant room ceiling heights. The flexible installation allows for row, block, or corner configurations. And the cascade frame and wall bracket are easier to assemble, making them quicker to install.
The new frame can accommodate the 49, 60, 80 and 99 kW models of the Vitodens 200-W range, while the 125 and 150 kW models will continue to use the previous frame.
A new, fully pre-assembled heating circuit connection set also helps to make the system more compact and faster to install. The connection set brings together the circulation pump, check valves, integrated ball cocks, and distribution manifold.
Darren McMahon, Viessmann marketing director, commented: “By itself, the range of outputs for the Vitodens 200-W boiler mean it is ideally suited to any application, domestic or commercial, but when a number are combined they’re also perfectly capable of satisfying large commercial heating load applications. Our new cascade system will make this proven high quality product even more appealing, making installation easier, quicker, and possible in even smaller spaces.”
