Viessmann launches new cold room and commercial refrigeration offer to the UK food and beverage industry at Foodex 2014
Viessmann takes significant step to becoming a full-service provider in cooling technology, offering the food sector energy efficiency, superior hygiene, low life cycle costs and innovative retail experiences – through a single interface.
Viessmann will exhibit a newly extended range of cold room and commercial refrigerator technology products and services for the food and beverage industry on stand Q379 at Foodex 2014 (March 24-26, 2014; NEC, Birmingham).
In addition to cold rooms for trade and industry, the company is now offering innovative, high-efficiency refrigeration systems for food retailers. By acquiring the Finnish Norpe Group, the leading manufacturer of innovative commercial refrigeration systems in the Nordic region, Viessmann has enlarged its product range to include refrigeration cabinets, lamellas and power packs for the food retail industry.
This provides the food manufacturing, retail and food service industries with a significant source of cooling products for both front and back of house operations, and a single point of contact for sales, product specification and aftersales support.

Product highlights at the show are:
TECTO cold room – bespoke engineering
Viessmann will show a 2.4 m x 2.4 m x 2.4 m chiller cold room. Standout features include a unique interlocking panel system and high quality gasket sealing which makes each unit totally weatherproof; a choice of over 1,000 doors and floors; and Viessmann’s antimicrobial powder coating. Viessmann’s cold rooms allow a multitude of installation configurations with the flexibility to alter the size easily as demand dictates.
Aida serve over counters promise 20 per cent energy saving
The Aida range is a versatile, easy to maintain and eco-friendly range of display cabinets for pastry, chocolate, snacks and other delicacies. Aida's technical performance is the best in its class and it uses even 20 per cent less energy than other serve-over counters of the same size.
Deli-175-120-backloader responds to new shopping trends
Deli impulse coolers are a response to the growing convenience food segment and are designed for both delicacies and large volumes of fast-moving products. The Deli range can be configured individually, lined up or built as an island with castors making the units easy and light to move for different POS purposes. Eco-features, such as hot gas water evaporator, low energy fans and coolant R290 as an option, make Deli an energy efficient addition to retail outlets large and small.
Deli 175 backloader cabinet is the newest innovation from the company, allowing shop personnel to refill the cabinet shelves from behind, saving working time and enabling new layout options.
The Viessmann Group acquired Viessmann Kältetechnik GmbH in 2012 and Norpe in 2013. This is the first year that Viessmann has exhibited at Foodex.
