24 hour turnaround and response times dramatically cut as Viessmann opens new storage and distribution facility

Viessmann, one of the leading international manufacturers of heating systems, has dramatically improved customer response times and extended cut off times by opening a new warehouse in the Midlands. Its logistic operation can now process orders up to 4pm for next day delivery.

Based at Fradley Park, Lichfield, and operated by strategic logistics partner Hellmann, the new premises streamline the storage and transfer of products from their arrival at the warehouse through to dispatch. The company’s domestic boiler range including the recently launched Vitodens 100-W range and accessories will be held at the warehouse, with further parts transferring to the facility within 18 months.

Managing director at Viessmann, Graham Russell says, “Installers rely on Viessmann’s German engineering and manufacturing quality and we must make sure our supply chain operates to the same high standard. We have outgrown our current operation and we are pleased to be better set up for future growth.

“All our customers stand to benefit from the new warehouse as not only are we quickening delivery and slashing response times, but the warehouse’s management system and radio frequency (RF) scanning allows a far greater control of stock, saving valuable staff time and improving the accuracy of the service we deliver.”

Viessmann’s existing warehouse in Telford will continue for the moment to store the manufacturer’s commercial boilers, including the highly successful Vitocrossal 300, solar products and spare parts.
