INTERIM REPORT For the period from January 1 to March 31, 2001 Continued growth in sales · Sales increased during the quarter by 45% to SEK 60.3 M (41.6). · A loss of SEK 12.6 M (loss: 7.7) after net financial items was reported. · The number of employees was 167 (111) on the closing date, an increase of 50%. · Important events during the quarter · Protect Data AS in Norway received an add-on order from EDB Teamco during the period for ActivCard password generators. The total order value was about SEK 12.5 M, of which SEK 3.5 M was delivered during the first quarter. · Major deliveries of systems for password generators for Internet banks were also made in Sweden. · Protect Data A/S in Denmark received an add-on order from Tele Danmark during the period for delivery of a PKI solution valued at about SEK 10 M. · Protect Data A/S in Denmark received an add-on order from Tele Danmark during the period for delivery of the Sonicwall firewall product. An initial order amounting to about SEK 2 M was received during the first quarter. · A contract was signed with Swedish telecom operator Telia in March for the proprietary security solution PointsecTM. The contract called for an initial delivery in March with an option for additional orders over the course of the year. · In March, Pointsec launched a new product version for Palm Pilots, "PointsecTM for Palm OS ® ". · During the period, Pointsec was also certified as "Entrust Ready" by the Canadian PKI supplier Entrust Technologies. · Events after the closing date In April, an important contract was signed with Nokia for the PointsecTM security solution. The contract is a leasing agreement that extends for a period of four years.
