New President for Protect Data Sweden - Magnus Söderlind is looking forward to work for a leading company on a growing market Magnus Söderlind is the new President of Protect Data Sweden. Magnus Söderlind's most important task will be to work on Protect Data's sales of leading IT security systems. Alongside his work as President of Protect Data Sweden, he will also be the Deputy CEO of the parent company Protect Data AB, focusing on identifying synergies between the work of subsidiaries in different countries. "Protect Data will be the leading supplier of IT security solutions on the Nordic market. As regards the rest of Europe, we are currently assessing the best way of establishing ourselves and expanding," he says. Protect Data currently has operations in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the UK and in the US. "IT security is a relatively young market experiencing strong growth, and Protect Data is one of the leading companies in the sector. To have the privilege to work here is very exciting. I know that the company has incredible potential, and I have already seen that it is permeated with commitment and a spirit of enterprise." After gaining an engineering degree specialising in industrial physics at Chalmers University of Technology and an economics degree at the Göteborg School of Economics, Magnus Söderlind started working as a Management Trainee within the Unilever Group. Over the course of five years he held the positions of Product Manager, Sales Manager and Business Unit Manager, before continuing his career at the consultancy company McKinsey. After three years as a Manager at McKinsey, Magnus Söderlind moved to the Siemens Group as General Manager of Siemens Business Services, a company involved in the sale of IT consultancy services. His final stop before coming to Protect Data was Silicon Graphics, where Magnus Söderlind was the Managing Director of the Swedish subsidiary company for three years. For the last 18 months, he has also been the Managing Director of Silicon Graphics' Finnish company. Magnus Söderlind is 35 years old and originally he comes from Göteborg.
