Proventus Capital Partners raises SEK 8.8 billion in the first closing of a new fund to meet increasing demand for corporate financing.

Proventus Capital Partners is an leading credit investor and loan provider to midsized companies in need of capital for expansion, acquisition financing, restructurings and refinancing in Northern Europe. Proventus Capital Partners also conduct investments in the primary and secondary markets for high yield bonds.

Proventus Capital Partners was initially started in 2009 with EUR 216 million under management. In 2011 and 2012, Proventus Capital Partners II and IIB were established with total capital of SEK 7.4 billion. These funds are now fully invested.

In a first closing, the third fund Proventus Capital Partners III has raised SEK 8.8 billion. The fund will remain open for further investors until the end of the third quarter of 2014. In total, Proventus Capital Partners now has the equivalent of approximately EUR 2 billion in assets under management. Investors in Proventus Capital Partners III include pension funds, insurance companies, large foundations and companies from the Nordics as well as wider Europe.
