A sensual shopping experience has opened the door on a new career for ex bank worker Triona Sturges

The former lending advisor has seen her Wiltshire boutique Provocative Pleasures, take off with customers.

Triona Sturges, worked in banking for ten years before taking the plunge and setting up the Provocative Pleasures Boutique, Rodbourne Road, Swindon.

The boutique is a far cry from offering loans – this venture offers high quality, luxury lingerie and a range of adult products celebrating the sexier side of life. 

“I moved from the financial sector when I realised, through online selling, the potential behind selling fabulous lingerie and adult toys at amazing value” Triona said.

The 31 year old mum, is supported behind the scenes by silent partner Karl Lubieniecki, also 31, a former quantity surveyor and owner of his own construction business for eight years.

Karl used his expertise in the construction industry to find and fit the perfect location for the glamorous boutique.

Provocative Pleasures Boutique has just hosted their second open evening, to promote the new store. Triona and Karl welcomed guests including professional footballer Rhys Evans.

Rhys is supporting the store as it stocks a range of new ‘Shisha Sticks’ which he is supplying as part of his new business portfolio. The ‘sticks’ which are growing in popularity, are designed to provide the finest and ultimate shisha experience without any harmful toxins. Rhys’s products specialise in a fruity taste and fragrance.

Triona said: “It was very rewarding to see so many women interested in the products, but also having a fun filled, relaxing evening at the same time. It proved that sex is fun and natural and that in a comfortable environment people will discuss it”.

Provocative Pleasures has had a successful online business for nine months and the Swindon store is the first boutique. It stocks a range of products, from corsets to baby doll lingerie, fancy dress, swimwear and adult toys. They are one of the very few stockists of the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ inspired party game and accessories.

Triona said: “With our first boutique open, it is set to be a place where everyone is welcome, and can feel totally comfortable delving into the inner desires.”

This event was one of many open evenings to come and staff hope to build the brand’s reputation as a venue which can host hen and stag parties as well as other fun events such as birthday celebrations.
