What will I receive?
Starting from April 2013, pledgers will be able to register their very own personal or business mygeopin on a first come, first serve basis.
Must a personal/business mygeopin code be related to a city?
Yes, every mygeopin code is related to an administrative entity like a city, town or village that is mapped in the Mygeopin database, like the examples shown in the video.
When can I register my personal/business mygeopin code?
We will send a confirmation e-mail to all those who contributed through Indiegogo, indicating the date and inviting all contributors to register their personal or business mygeopin through our dedicated website.
When will the mygeopin code become active?
The mygeopin code will be automatically activated immediately upon registration.
Has another mygeopin code already been released?
No, contributers thorugh Indiegogo will be the first to register personal and business addresses.
Will the price change in the future?
Indiegogo contributors will have a huge discount on future Recommended Retail Prices. Moreover, the lifetime offer is unique to Indiegogo.
May I sell my personal or business mygeopin address ?
Yes, you will be able to sell one or more addresses at anytime through Mygeopin auction site which will be available in Q3-2013.
What is a business address?
It’s a mygeopin code that let’s your customers know your business location and how to reach you. But, that’s not all, mygeopin is also a pin to your website, offers/promotions and so on. Your pin will be showed automatically on all mygeopin apps when the user shows up in your area. Through the app, the pin will link directly to your website. In Q4-2013 we will start the business site where you can publish your offers to customers.
Is the software tracking my position?
Privacy is a high priority for us. The software is made to assure that during this pre-release period, there is absolutely no tracking! Position requests are anonymous. After the activation period it be will be your choice as to whether you wish to activate the tracking feature, and selecting the mygeopin users that can see your precise position. By default the tracking feature is disabled and requests are anonymous. Moreover, the apps and the server software will not log any previous positions.
May I register any name as my own mygeopin?
Yes, with the exception of:
- Sexually explicit names
- Unlawful, harassing, abusive, obscene or invasive names
