New Prudential research on stakeholder pensions
NEW PRUDENTIAL RESEARCH ON STAKEHOLDER PENSIONS With the deadline for the introduction of stakeholder pensions fast approaching - new Prudential research reveals the message is getting through to young people loud and clear. * Nearly half (49%) of young workers aged between 16-24 years old are willing to contribute to a stakeholder pension. Even those approaching retirement may be questioning the suitability of their current pension scheme. * 15% of over 55's intend to take out a stakeholder, even though 98% of those questioned already have pension provisions. Andy Briggs, Director of Pensions at Prudential said: "The message seems to be getting out load and clear to all age groups but with only 5 days to go until the October deadline, workers should be pestering their bosses to find out what they've done about stakeholder." Andy Briggs is available for interview and can be contacted via Tracey Pinon at Prudential Press Office on 0207 334 4319 or tracey.pinon@prudential.co.uk. ------------------------------------------------------------ This information was brought to you by Waymaker http://www.waymaker.net The following files are available for download: http://www.waymaker.net/bitonline/2001/10/04/20011004BIT00430/bit0001.doc http://www.waymaker.net/bitonline/2001/10/04/20011004BIT00430/bit0001.pdf
