Prudential wins NHS stakeholder and AVC Business

PRUDENTIAL WINS NHS STAKEHOLDER AND AVC BUSINESS The NHS of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales has chosen Prudential to provide both AVC (additional voluntary contribution) and stakeholder schemes to its one million staff - making this one of the largest defined contributions schemes in the UK. The TUC stakeholder pension, administered by Prudential, will be available to all NHS staff, along with the Prudential AVC scheme. Nigel Emery, head of Pensions at Prudential said: " This is a strong endorsement of our proposition in the pensions market and it underlines our domination of the public sector. In addition to today's announcement, we also provide AVC schemes to over 50% of local authorities. "However, there's still a long way to go. We are fast approaching the 8th October deadline for companies to designate a stakeholder provider and Prudential will continue to offer employers support and make the process clear and simple for them and their staff."
