NETTO VISIT PROVES FRUITFUL
Children at The Avenue Day Nursery in Leigh have enjoyed a feast of fresh fruit following a visit from Netto mascot, Bubbles the Clown and his crew. The children, aged between one and four, were treated to a fantastic magic show from Bubbles and took part in fun lessons about healthy eating. Netto also donated goodie bags to nursery pupils and staff that were filled with all their fresh fruit favourites. The visit formed part of the great value supermarket’s ongoing commitment to support the local community and endorse the ‘five a day’ message with children. Juliette Blower, manager at The Avenue Day Nursery, said: “We’re currently learning about healthy eating so to have Netto come and reinforce this message in such a fun way for the kids is a real treat. “The children loved learning with the clowns and, thanks to all the fresh fruit we have received, our youngsters have a range of nutritious snacks to enjoy.” Netto re-opened the store on Windermere Road, Leigh, WN7 1QX on the 1st of April. Ends. 21/04/2010 Issued on behalf of Netto by Public.
