Punkt., the Swiss, design-led consumer technology company, first launched the MP 01 last Autumn – leading the telecommunications world in offering a stylish and up-to-date alternative to old-fashioned basic phones. The original black MP 01 is now being complemented by White and Brown options.
The MP 01, designed by Jasper Morrison, combines stylish, contemporary design with peaceful simplicity. It makes calls, sends texts, and gives you a break from the growing ‘always on’ culture. It’s most often used alongside a smartphone that is set to forward calls and texts whenever it’s switched off, allowing users to literally walk away from all those status updates, notifications and alerts.
The MP 01 is a design masterpiece that stands head and shoulders above cheap, leftover dumbphones. Its focus on the two core functions – calls and texts – makes it arguably the most modern phone on the market, smartphones included…
