Chocolatiers across York are joining forces to find chocolate enthusiasts to participate in an experiment taking place in York on 1 June for the BBC TV show, ‘Trust Me, I’m a Doctor’.

Around 100 chocolate enthusiasts are required for the experiment, although exact details of what they will be doing are strictly under wraps.  Sophie Jewett of York Cocoa House, who has been working with the producers, comments: “We know that this will involve eating of chocolate, and that it doesn’t require participants to undergo any kind of medical examination, but participants will find out more details on the day itself.”

Participants are required to be aged 35-65, be available in York on 1 June, and be chocolate fans with no food allergies.  The crew is hoping to make a follow-up visit on 22 June.

Anyone interested in taking part should email their name, age, telephone number and address to trustme@bbc.co.uk for more details.
