Q-FREE AWARDED A CONTRACT IN PORTUGAL – 26 MNOK

Q-Free ASA has today received an order from the Spanish Company GRUPO FERROVIAL S.A. related to its concessionaire in Portugal - EUROSCUT NORTE S.A., owned by the Spanish company CINTRA, S.A. Currently the concession is operational under the shadow tolling scheme (SCUT), and will be transformed into a fully operational Multi Lane Free Flow tolling system (MLFF).

FERROVIAL today operates several shadow tolling projects in Portugal which will be converted to fully operational MLFF systems going forward. The order value is approximately 26 MNOK and comprises delivery, installation and implementation of Road Side Equipment for the concession. “We are very pleased for this award. FERROVIAL is a new customer of Q-Free in Portugal and as such an important expansion for the company. This is our second major award this year in Portugal, and confirms our strong position in the MLFF market in general and in Portugal in particular ", CEO of Q-Free ASA Øyvind Isaksen comments. The project will start immediately, and the design and build phase will last throughout 2009. FERROVIAL is a Spanish owned organization that currently operates 3 concessions in Portugal.
